Clothes-to-Go, formally the Clothing Swap, will be held on Friday, March 31 and Saturday, April 1. We’ve changed the name to reflect the expanding mission—from just swapping clothing to offering the clothing to those in the community, no tokens needed.
On Friday, March 31, the “shop” will be open from 6pm-8pm to all church family members to shop (even if you haven’t donated clothing.)
On Saturday, April 1, Clothes-To-Go will be open to the community to come and shop from 8:30am-noon.
We will also be collecting gently used Bibles that can be handed out to those who come to shop and do not have a Bible.
We’d love you help in this ministry! How can you help?
- You can donate gently used clothing of all sizes, male or female. We welcome clothes that are clean and wearable. (We do not accept bathing suits, undergarments, stained or torn clothing. Rule of thumb: If you don’t want your family to wear it, please do not donate!) Donations will be accepted on Sunday, March 26 and through the week during FCF Office hours.
- Help to sort and organize the clothes on Friday morning. The perk to helping? You get first peeks/picks!
- Come and help on Friday night and Saturday morning, welcome new people, help with handing out bags and finding clothes for those that may need an extra hand. Clean-up on Saturday after the shop.
We look forward to this new format and hope it will be a blessing to our FCF family as well as the surrounding community. Please share the information about Clothes-To-Go with your family and friends. For more information or to sign up to help, contact BJ Owen-Tubbs by email at BJ43062@aol.com
