“For Our City” November 13
On Sunday, November 13, Pastor Gordon invited 5 members of FCF to share their heart about a ministry they are a part. Each of these ministries are ways that we can be the hand and feet of God, to be For Our City! To see how you can become involved with any of these ministries, please reach out to the contact person or contact the church office for more information.
Good News Club/ CEF – Donna and Lynn Carbaugh and their family have led a Good News club for the past 12-13 years. They are currently leading a club on Mondays at Williamsport Elementary School. Foster Care and Adoption – Anne Graff shared how she, her husband Dave, and family opened their home to special needs foster care for over 12 years. Over the years they have had the opportunity to witness to many people including parents, nurses, and the children they have fostered. The Lord blessed them greatly by allowing them to adopt Lilah, the last child they fostered. For more information about foster care and adoption, contact Anne Graff at 301-582-9474.
Children In Need – Danny Cobb shared about his involvement with Children in Need. After hearing about their need for a trailer, Danny and his wife Lori donated an enclosed trailer which allows Children in Need to better service the community. Danny then became more involved by serving on the Board of Directors. Children in Need is a non-profit organization founded in 1998 to provide children in Washington County the necessities needed for learning. Donations of new and gently used clothing are welcome and the ministry helps children, kindergarten through 12 grade – and even some college students, throughout Washington County.
