We will begin collecting candy for our 3rd Annual “You’ve Been Egged” Campaign February 25 through March 18. We are just as excited for this year’s “You’ve Been Egged” outreach as we have been previously. The reason for this excitement is that this simple, yet fun, act of hiding “Easter Eggs” in a child’s yard is a great way to share the Gospel Message! This outreach provides each of us (young and old) the opportunity to live out The Great Commission. Jesus called us all to “Go into all the world and preach the gospel” (Mark 16:15), and You’ve Been Egged gives us the opportunity as parents, grandparents, and children to strategically share our faith in a tangible way with our friends and neighbors. It can involve the entire family and it creates an opportunity to personally connect with another family for the cause of Christ. Studies show that when children engage in ministry alongside their parents, it strengthens their own faith!
Although the goal of this campaign is to reach children and their families- everyone is welcome and encouraged to participate. This outreach is for everyone and we are encouraging you to utilize this campaign to share the message of Jesus’ love this Easter.
Start now by praying about who you can “Egg” this Easter. Families may want to make a list on their refrigerator with names of others who would benefit from hearing the true message of Easter, and begin praying for them in advance.
In addition, pick up a few bags of small, wrapped candy to donate to this campaign. Candy collection will run through March 18th. “You’ve Been Egged” bags will be distributed on Sunday, March 25th and “Egging” will occur on Saturday, March 31st!
